Why Your Intuition Feels On One Day and Gone the Next
Feb 10, 2026
If you’ve ever thought, “Yesterday my intuition was on fire and today it feels completely gone,” this post is for you.
I hear this constantly from intuitives, psychics, and spiritually aware people who are doing everything they’ve been told to do. They meditate. They journal. They ground. They protect their energy. They’ve taken classes, bought the programs, and done years of healing work, and yet their intuition feels wildly inconsistent.
One day they’re clear, confident, and deeply connected, messages come through easily, decisions feel obvious, synchronicities show up everywhere. Then the next day it’s like the signal dropped, and doubt creeps in and the fear gets louder. They start questioning whether they imagined everything in the first place.
And that’s usually the moment they decide something is wrong with them.
Here’s the truth most of the spiritual industry never tells you: your intuition isn’t broken, blocked, or unreliable. Your nervous system is just overwhelmed.
Intuition does not function best in a state of pressure, hypervigilance, or self-monitoring. It functions best in safety. And most intuitives are living in a constant state of internal alert while calling it “awakening.”
We’ve been taught that when intuition fades, it means we need more healing, more clearing, more protection, or more discipline, that our vibration dropped, or that we somehow messed it up. So what do we do? We try harder. We add more practices. We analyze ourselves even more closely.
That effort is often the very thing shutting intuition down.
Your intuitive system is not fragile, but it is responsive. It responds to the state of your body and nervous system far more than it responds to your mindset. When your system feels safe, intuition flows naturally and consistently. When your system feels pressured, watched, or chronically activated, intuition becomes intermittent.
This is why so many intuitives describe feeling “on” one day and completely disconnected the next. This is not random, nor is it punishment. It’s regulation.
Many people don’t realize how much nervous system activation gets mislabeled as intuition. Anxiety can feel like a psychic hit. Hypervigilance can feel like heightened awareness. Overprocessing can feel like deep spiritual insight. Until the body gets tired, and then the whole system pulls back to protect itself.
When that happens, people panic. They start scanning themselves for what went wrong within them. They replay readings, sessions, or decisions. They wonder if fear has taken over or if they trusted the wrong thing. That spiral creates even more dysregulation, which pushes intuition further into the background.
This is where so many intuitives get stuck for years.
They live on a psychic roller coaster. High clarity followed by crashes of doubt and exhaustion. They assume this inconsistency is just part of being intuitive, when in reality it’s a sign the container holding their intuition isn’t stable yet.
Traditional intuitive development often unintentionally reinforces this pattern. It teaches people to constantly monitor their energy, scan for blocks, and stay alert for threats or interference. That might sound responsible, but to the nervous system it feels like danger never stops.
You can’t access steady intuition from a system that never gets to rest.
This is why so many gifted people feel burned out, foggy, or disconnected after years of spiritual work. They didn’t fail. They simply outpaced their capacity for regulation.
When safety becomes the foundation, something shifts. Intuition stops coming in spikes and starts showing up as a calm, consistent knowing. You’re no longer chasing clarity because it’s just there, and you stop questioning every hit because your system isn’t bracing for being wrong.
This is also where discernment improves, fear-based signals lose their urgency, and true intuitive information feels neutral, grounded, and steady, even when it’s unexpected.
The goal isn’t to be constantly activated or “open.” The goal is coherence. A regulated system in a body that isn’t trying to protect you from your own awareness.
This is the work I do with intuitives who are tired of feeling like their gifts come and go. We don’t fix intuition. We stabilize the system that holds it.
This is the work I do with intuitives who are tired of feeling like their gifts come and go. Inside The Unblocked Intuitive™, we focus on stabilizing the nervous system so intuition becomes consistent instead of conditional.

If you’re exhausted from years of healing, second-guessing yourself, and wondering why your intuition won’t stay consistent, there’s nothing wrong with you. Your system is asking for a different approach.
When intuition is supported instead of pushed, it becomes reliable. And when it’s reliable, everything else in your life gets easier to navigate.
That’s what being unblocked actually looks like.
